Finley is 2 months!!

Wow...how time flies. I get a little teary eyed as we pass each milestone with her. Something must be wrong with me when I get a little bit weepy that she's out of newborn diapers. Drake is slowly adjusting to her and at times can be gentle. I'm excited to have two more months before heading back to school.

This picture tends to be a little challenging. Poor Finley was on the carpet more than she was on Drake. Could possibly be the issue with the person holding her.=)

Drake takes on swimming

Beginning of the trip

I devoted a whole post to this because I never thought I'd see the day. It was a big accomplishment if Drake got his big toe in the water. Over the winter he grew very frightened of swimming and wanted nothing to do with it. We decided to practice tough love..strap on a life jacket and throw the kid in. It worked and he turned into quite the little fish during the week.

We celebrated with ice cream at Moosebirds.

Lake Vermilion

We made our annual trip to Lake Vermilion in Minnesota. This has been my 31st year going and there isn't a better place on Earth. Very relaxing!  Drake is starting to enjoy the things I loved when I was a kid there. Between fishing for sunnies and grabbing an ice cream cone at Moosebirds or building sandcastles. We had a great trip.

Starting our vacation...Cheers

Everyone needs to take garbage trucks on a pontoon ride, right?

VBS

Drake enjoyed his time at VBS at our church. Mommy taught pre-school games and was wore out by the little ones come Thursday. Drake love playing the game Drip drop Splash.

Adventureland

Each year Brock's company provides all the families with free tickets to Adventureland. Drake was so excited and couldn't wait to go. Nana and Papa Traetow came up to watch Finley so we loaded up Sunday morning and headed out. I've now taken on my dad's attitude about theme parks..."ugh I hate crowds". But it was actually not so bad. Any time you can have funnel cake and mini donuts it's a pretty good day.

Loving the waterpark here. As long as he can time going down the slide while keeping his eyes on the big water bucket that dumps. He's not a big fan of those.

It was a long fun day. Drake snoozing while enjoying a ring pop.

T-ball

Drake really enjoyed meeting new friends and playing in the sand at t-ball this year. Brock also learned what it was like to coach 4 year olds.=)  The Cubbies finished a strong season with the highlight being the snacks at the end.
